Hewes Fastener Division of H&C Tool Supply was originally founded by Michael F. Hewes Sr. as Hewes Industrial Supply in 1980. H&C Tool Supply acquired this business in 1991 and renamed it to more accurately reflect the focus and nature of the business.

Hewes Fastener is a stocking distributor of standard and specialty mechanical fasteners. With over 19,000 unique items in stock, at the company location on Mt. Read Blvd. in Rochester, New York, it is in a strong position to provide same day service on both package quantities and bulk inventory. In addition, the company’s drive up window allows speedy will-call service for emergency situations.

Numerous customers take advantage of Hewes’ bin replenishment stocking programs that allow the end user to turn over the routine re-ordering of low volume items for Hewes to manage. Knowledgeable field sales engineers from Hewes work with customers to lower manufacturing and assembly costs. Efficient phone customer service people stand ready to process orders and provide information and sourcing on everything from the straight forward nuts and bolts to the most complicated inconels, monels and various other exotic material fasteners.
